LAST WEEK, ON TOUGH ENOUGH
We saw the footage from last weeks show to start out this weeks show, in case we have no memory. Or in case we, as the Tough Enough 2 contestants like to drink excessively and can't remember what we did the previous night.
LIKE SANDS THROUGH THE HOUR GLASS; SO ARE THE DAYS OF OUR LIVES
We pick it up in the hot tub with the contestants all heavily drinking alcohol. Even after the talking by "Big" John about drinking too much and keeping it within reason, they all decided it would be neat to go get blitzed again.
Anni was talking about Jackie's boyfriend and Kenny told us the boyfriend is away and that means it could be an opportunity for another guy to move on in. One by one the other contestants depart the steaming hot tub of Eniquity. Linda is the first to leave, and Kenny is the last to leave.
Kenny probably is in to voyeurism fantasies because he sort of watched Pete and Jackie go at it for a while. I guess maybe he was hoping to ruin Pete's chance with Jackie because of something known as the fragile 'male' ego or commonly referred to as "jealousy". Anyways, In the end Kenny took his cue and departed the hot tub as well when it got to "hot" for him.
Linda mentioned Kenny probably should have left a bit earlier.
IT WASN'T ME, IT WAS A TERRIBLE MISTAKE
Pete and Jackie get frisky and steam up our television sets. For a minute I was curious if I was watching a wrestling training show or if I had been inebriated so much Tough Enough 2 ended and The Real World popped on my television screen, but I had not been drinking at all tonight. Maybe it was the fumes coming off through the television set from those strong drinks the Tough Enough 2 contestants were sucking down! No luck, it was just the influence of MTV turning WWF Tough Enough 2 in to a "Real World Soap Opera" show.
Anni said she did not see but heard they got pretty frisky in the hot tub. She should have been watching the show on our end!
THE NEXT MORNING
We see Jackie rolling around in her bed, at least she was alone. Kenny went outside and cleaned up the mess of the night before (broken glasses) and empty booze bottles (Jack Daniels, at least someone has good taste).
SHOPPING ANYONE
Jackie, Pete and Anni went shopping. Pete mentioned to us he had not talked to Jackie about what happened the night before and was waiting for a good time.
But he assured us she probably felt the same way he did about it and it was a wonderful experience and great night. They really had something really special going on now.
Jackie told us it was the worst mistake she had ever done in her entire life and she regrets doing it and wishes it had never happened.
Somehow Toto, I don't think Pete is in Kansas anymore!
"BIG" JOHN COMES A KNOCKING
"Big" John showed up and greeted the contestants at the house. He had the trainers with him. Ivory went upstairs to do some women stuff. Al and Bob Holly looked at the living quarters which doubled as a "pig sty" according to Al. Both Al and Bob were unimpressed as the sloppy way the contestants were living. Hey living in a house with a pool, and a hot tub, and a budget to party with is a TOUGH LIFE! Especially when you have a freakin free ride to possibly become a pro wrestler and earn a decent living doing something you should really love doing. But hey, who I am to judge the immaturity of these contestants?
Jackie tells Ivory about kissing Pete and Ivory of course marks out for it, because after all, well she marked out over Maven last season and acted like she wanted to hook up with him.
Jackie thought it was the biggest mistake of her life and Ivory said it was no big deal because they had only kissed.
JAKKS PACIFIC DOLLS FOR ALL
"Big" John explained they were going to Jakks Pacific to make action dolls of the Tough Enough 2 contestants. This was a really cool part of the show. We got to see how the action figures are made and got to see the company scan all of the contestants for dolls.
The person mentioned Jake's likeness came out the greatest he had ever seen one come out (score some marketing points for Jacob!).
"Big" John commented Jacob had marketability written all over him but he lacked something in the ring (take those points away from Jacob!).
TRAINING, YEAH, THIS IS A WRESTLING TRAINING SHOW!
Jacob was bumbling around the ring screwing up. Chavo Guerrero Jr. told us Jacob had the body for the business but needs to get the mental aspect of the business down or he is not going to make it.
Jacob screwed up in the ring big time and Al Snow painted an L and an R on his hands so he knew which direction was left and right (pretty funny stuff here). Funny in the amusing sort of demented manner that makes me laugh, not funny for Jacob, actually sort of sad.
BACK TO THE DAYS OF OUR LIVES
Jackie said she had to get focused and concentrate on the competition and not on her relationship problems. She was still debating if she was going to break down and tell her boyfriend what had happened.
Jackie decided to call and spill the beans. She explained she had gotten drunk and had made a mistake but had not allowed it go anywhere. He of course asked her what had happened. She said she had kissed Pete but had made it seem as if it was not anything but a little miniscule peck. She claimed it went nowhere and it was no big deal. But hey, maybe she has a different definition of a "peck on the lips" then I do.
The boyfriend was upset. He told her she basically had cheated on him. I wonder what his reaction would have been if he heard to truth. He hung up on her after telling her he was done with her. Jackie was upset and ran off crying and Anni consoled her.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch. Pete was telling Jake about his situation with Jackie and how he really wanted to get with her. Jacob told Pete if she did that with him when she was drunk, it meant she wanted him since people that are drunk do what they really want to do. Pete decided that was a damned good theory and he was going to run with it. Of course, it is a decent theory.
With one flaw. Maybe she was drunk and is a total slut in reality and that is her personality. So she wasn't really going after Pete because she wanted him, but merely because he was there. In this situation it would suggest Pete isn't really the attraction but the taboo is. But I think Pete is in search of a heartbreak.
ROSE ON THE BED, AWWWW
Pete asked Kenny if he should go for it. Kenny told him not to because he was going to get hurt. Smart man that Kenny is! Pete decided he was going to go for it because, shucks he had never been in love like this before.
Pete left a rose on Jackie's bed and awaited her reaction to it. Jackie came home and found it and asked Kenny if he had seen what Pete had got her, Kenny acted ignorant.
BACK AT TRAX WEST
Snow told them he was going to teach them an arm drag, but it was not as easy as they may think it is, and if they do it wrong they could end up hurting someone.
Jacob was screwing these up as well. Jackie was screwing up the move when she was working with Pete and Al asked her why she was screwing up.
It might be concentration problems. Jackie told us she thinks Pete is a good friend but that is where it will stay.
BACK TO THE HOUSE
Linda told us that Jackie had literally been begging for the sexual response with Pete. Linda said they basically had sex with out having sex (doing it in clothes).
Pete and Jackie drove back together in a separate car. Pete was trying to bad mouth her boyfriend all the ride home. Jackie was telling Pete she had it good, Pete told Jackie her boyfriend had it good and she had it bad (undermining the boyfriend, great tactic Pete!). Pete said he would not go back and change anything and would do it again.
Jackie told him not to take this the wrong way but if she could go back and change it, she would not do it again because it was a mistake. Pete told her she had done nothing wrong. Remember his philosophy is that since her boyfriend is not in the same town, she can cheat and it is not really 'cheating'.
THE NEXT DAY
Edge popped in for a visit. Edge ate dinner with them and Hawk was eating his Spaghetti and allowing it to dangle from his mouth. Edge found it ripe to crack on Hawk for doing this and called him a goof.
They asked Edge who influenced him and Edge admitted he was a Hulakamaniac. He said Hogan just seemed so BIGGER THEN LIFE. Edge must love being in the program with Kurt Angle and being in angles with Hulk Hogan in WWF. I have to say Edge's Smackdown! thrashing of Vince McMahon was rather cool tonight and I hope Edge gets to lay out Vince McMahon in a skit. That would be so cool.
Edge talked about how the rigors and stress on the road as a wrestler can hurt relationships and cause problems in them. Jackie seemed to pop her ear up in attention when he said this.
Edge claimed wrestling was not the era of the big man anymore and was all based on work rate.
MORE PHONE CALLS HOME
Jackie called her boyfriend again and he hung up on her. My experience tells me Jackie and the boyfriend are not done, and this probably has happened before. So they probably will call a truce after he has enough time to think about things.
Jackie called her mother and confided her problems in her. Her mother read her the riot act and said she had thrown her entire life away. Now I am not one for cheating, but come on!
TRAX WEST
Pete and Jackie were doing more arm drags and had more problems. "Big" John mentioned they had to concentrate on working in the ring more.
John said the contestants are at a pivotal part after learning the basics and were going to start to learn how to put them altogether.
Jacob screwed up again while working with Hawk. Both were trying to do offense and looked incredibly bad trying to wrestle each other.
Hawk said Jacob was on Saturn and he was on Venus (I think those are the correct planets he mentioned).
THE INVISIBLE MAN APPEARS ON TOUGH ENOUGH 2!
Al Snow decided the contestants should wrestle the greatest wrestler of all time, The Invisible Man. It was pretty funny and some of them looked really good working with themselves.
Al Snow said you can quickly tell which contestants are going to be good and which are going to be bad with this exercise because some of them look like fish out of water or as if they are having seizures. Jacob seemed to look like both.
Jacob tried to do a move and Al Snow told him he looked like a fish out of water and it wasn't going to fly. Jacob seemed dejected. Jacob told us he thinks he can win if he can get the ring action down.
Jackie told us Pete is a good friend again but having his arm around her was not a good thing right now. I do think this is going to hurt her performances in the ring now.
Linda told us neither of them were concentrating on their work. Pete told us whatever happens with another person is secondary to walking out with the contract (then why is he so freakin concerned with hooking up with Jackie?)
Jacob said he was feeling better with his in ring work and got down the arm drag working with Linda.
BACK AT THE HOUSE
Pete walked in saying he had hoped he ruined Jackie's relationship with her boyfriend (great guy this ass is).
Jackie had gotten some mail from her boyfriend. Jackie opened it and it was apparently 'sad song lyrics'. So I think this is the 'guilt' phase, which is usually followed with the discussion phase, and then the please don't do this again because I love you phase.
Jackie called her boyfriend and once again he hung up on her. She called her mother again and once again her mother acted like this was instant death. Jackie told her mother once again it was a mistake and she wished she could go back and change it because it was a horrible mistake. She was saying this so loud that poor-innocent Pete was over hearing it in the other room. Jackie's mother ripped on her boyfriend for being a man of the 90's and being sensitive to her needs and allowing her go to to the competition (you read that right).
PETE GOES OFF
Pete went away to think. Kenny told us Pete was broken up over hearing he was a terrible mistake. Kenny should have said, "I TOLD YA SO BROTHA!" Pete told us he feels real strong about Jackie and if he does not try to get her, he will regret it. Does not sound like he cares about being a wrestler as much as getting the girl.
THOUGHTS ON THIS SHOW
Not the greatest episode in my opinion. But we clearly see some lines being drawn in the sand.
Jacob is not going to be a great wrestler. He is just a great body and big guy. Pete is not going to be a great wrestler because he is more concerned with the party-lifestyle and bagging babes.
Hawk has done nothing to make me think he wouldn't be a good pick. Kenny really has not done anything outside of the fight problem.
Linda and Anni are solid in my eyes and should continue forward. Jackie on the other hand is going to have to decide what she wants to do with her boyfriend. If this guy does actually mean as much as she claims he means to her, the way she can get him back is to quit the competition and give it up for him. It is the only way I can see her winning him back. Because if she stays in the competition it is going to cause her personal problems galore.
First of all she will have this guy in the competition trying to bed her down constantly. Then she will have to deal with her nut case of a mother daily, and to top it all off her boyfriend is going to be really jealous of Pete. So she is not going to be able to concentrate on this entire competition.
On the ironic note of the night. Her mother asked her if she wanted to mess up her entire life by kissing Pete. In an odd sense of the way Jackie kissing Pete may have cost her the competition and screwed her life up in a big way. Because I think she had a great chance of making it to the end and winning the contract. Now I am not so sure and think the distractions are going to be her own demise. I also think she will quit the competition to return home in a week. Of course her mother did not mean 'screw up your life' as in losing the contract but instead meant it is - some warped sense of 'losing your boyfriend'. I guess to me it seems odd her mother is pushing her life to be a relationship with a guy.
But her mother claimed the man of the 90's line, and that tells me she is a "house wife" that allows the man to make all the decisions and put the foot down. So she expects her daughter to simply sit at home and have babies and live a life as a housewife. Now I am not saying that is a BAD THING, but maybe that is not what Jackie wants to do. Perhaps, Jackie made the mistake ("The most terrible mistake of her life" - for which she has no clue as to why she did it) because inside she does not want to turn out like her mother and be "a house wife".
Thus inside she was always struggling away from being just that, so she sought out the first chance she could to sabotage her chances of ending up as 'just a house wife'. Thus, Pete is actually a catalyst in her life unknown to Jackie to get her to the place she wants to be in - inside. She does not really want Pete as in a "relationship" way - inside she just latched on to him to allow her to screw up her relationship, so she would not have any realistic chances of ending up with her boyfriend and becoming 'a house wife'. Pete was simply a vehicle to obtain her rights of passage out of an existence she subconsciously does not want to exist in. The problem with Jackie is - she HAS no idea why she did what she did. So chances are she is going to panic and rush back to her 'safety-blanket' (her boyfriend-relationship-childhood taught behaviour-watching her mother only be a 'house-wife role') and rush back open arms in to an existence she inside wants to escape from. In the end she will become what she does not want to become. I hate being Freud, but it seems I have to sometimes. And that raps up the intelligent portion of this report.
