LAST TIME... ON TOUGH ENOUGH
The show began with highlights from the last episode as per usual.
Jonah told us he has been having dizzy spells but doesn't want to tell the trainers about it because he wants to keep going and does not want them to make him stop because of the dizzy spells.
We see them training in Trax West. Matt told us with only eight left the training is not only going to get harder, but it is going to get faster.
Al told us he has certain goals he wants to achieve, he has a time table and with the limited time he has with these kids he can not allow them to become a detriment to the pace he wants to keep.
Scott told us he is on a hot seat right now because he is not able to do the moves as well as everyone else. Scott feels he has the charisma and personality in the ring that everybody else lacks and that is going to help him.
Ivory said there are so many different parts to making up a WWE Superstar outside of your look and technical skills. She said in her opinion Jonah is a lot of talk and at this point in the game would fail miserably in front of a crowd.
TIME FOR OPTIMUM TRAINING IN THE DESERT
We seen them all running in the desert. Eric said that everyone just loves the canyon because that is where they always spend their Tuesdays getting their asses kicked.
John said that Bill told them they have to just finish everything as a team, and he said the first thing they had trouble with was carrying the heavy bags on their shoulders while running.
We see them all passing the heavy bag to each other. Matt passed it to Kelly and she was having a difficult time carrying it. The deal was that every time she dropped it they had stop and do 25 push ups and then Matt had to sprint to the front of the group and put the bag back on her shoulder (because he was the leader for the day). We see this happening quite a few times since Kelly kept dropping the heavy bag on the ground.
Kelly told us she hits a wall and tells herself this is to hard and she can not do it.
DeMott said the last thing you want to do with him is fail when he knows you can do what is put in front of you. We see DeMott getting on their cases because Kelly dropped the heavy bag.
John told us that Matt was sprinting back and forth helping Kelly out each time she dropped the heavy bag. Ivory said the reason they are tough with them in training is to grind them down to see what is left standing. Scott said Kelly has absolutely no athletic ability. Bill told her the only person that can get her through this is herself.
BACK AT THE HOUSE
Jonah was talking to Matt about how Kelly kept screwing up. Jonah said every single challenge they have had, Kelly has had a problem with it.
BIG SHOWS UP
The group said they thought when Big came over it was to talk about something bad. But it turned out he was there to tell them about the trip the group would take to Iceland.
Big told them there would be a cut before the trip and it lowered the morale of the group.
Kelly said she has no idea what goes on in Iceland but she is really excited. Kelly told us she was thinking she might not be going to Iceland due to the cut.
BACK AT TRAX WEST
We see them training again in the ring. Matt said that everybody is worried about being cut and you wish you could get inside the trainers heads and see what they want. Jonah said John is like a super hero he can do anything, but he on the other hand is kind of the opposite and he wishes he could pick up the moves as fast as John does.
We see Jonah hit the mat hard on a bump and he went dizzy. He was crying because of the pain and told Al about the dizzy spells he has been having. Al asked him why he didn't tell him about it, and Jonah wanted Al to promise they wouldn't cut him because of it. Al told them they would consult a doctor first and see where they stood but he couldn't make a promise he might not be able to keep.
Bill said that Jonah was hurting so bad that he couldn't hold his head up. There was ringing in his ears and he is seeing spots. Kelly said they took Jonah away to the hospital and they were all afraid.
THE DOCTORS PROGNOSIS IS
Jonah said every time he goes in to a hospital there is something wrong with him, and he hates hospitals. He said he is living his dream right now and he doesn't want it to be cut short because something is wrong with him. The doctor came in at that point. She asked him what the problem was and Jonah told her what had happened. She sent Jonah to see a neurologist. We see Jonah getting some tests done to determine the extent of his problems.
MEANWHILE BACK AT TRAX WEST
The training continued. Scott was having problems doing all of the moves. He got them all wrong. He kept trying but could not do them. Matt said the feeling in the building had totally changed and obviously everyone's minds were on Jonah. Al told Scott he has got to start doing the bumps correctly or he is not going to let him do them anymore because he might hurt someone. Scott did not do them correctly and Al told him to sit down.
BACK AT THE HOSPITAL
Jonah is undergoing more tests. Jonah said the anticipation of the outcome was just rising in building inside of him. The doctor told Jonah what she thinks he has is leventhritis and it is not serious and he could be put on medication and it should solve the problem.
Jonah said when the doctor told him he could continue it was like a huge relief and he was smiling ear to ear.
Big John told us that Jonah decided he was going to pull a little rib on the rest of the group.
THE RIB
Jonah said what makes a good prank is you stun the people. Jonah was rubbing his eyes to make it seem as if he had been crying.
Jonah wrapped his head in gauze and put a neck brace on. He went back to Trax West and walked in as if he was hurt seriously. Kelly broke down crying right away. John went in and gathered all of the group from out of the ring and told them sometimes things are really tough in this business and it is especially bad when something happens to a good person. With that Jonah came in being helped by the Tough Enough Medic.
Matt said his head was going crazy and he looked at Bill and Bill just looked at him and sort of put his head down.
Jonah fighting back tears told the group he just wanted to tell them how much they meant to him. And through out the whole competition they have been like his brothers and sisters. He told them they have all impacted his life so much. He said he could say something about all of them but he thought if they could say something nice about him it would be cool before he left.
Kelly told him every morning when she was down and her body was hurting he was always the one to push her. And they could always make each other happy when they were feeling down.
Scott told Jonah that he would always point out the bad things about him, but instead of making him feel bad about it he made him laugh and he would never forget about him.
Justin said he was one of the funniest bastards he has ever met and he was glad he could have fun with him.
Eric said when he first met Jonah he thought he was the biggest prick in the world. He thought he was an asshole but during the last four or five weeks he has gotten closer to Jonah then anyone else here.
Jonah said he really did not feel bad at all and he was going to get them, this was a great rib. But then it got to the last person.
Matt told Jonah he was like his brother and embraced him. Jonah said honestly at that point he felt really bad about the prank. He thought maybe he should whisper in to his ear and tell Matt it was just all a joke. Jonah said he imagined it would be like going to his own funeral because you would get to see how people really thought about you.
Jonah then said he hopes they all remember what they said about him today, when he is kicking their asses in the ring tomorrow. Some of the group popped realizing it was just a joke. Matt walked away to collect himself (he didn't seem pissed, he just seemed a little embarrassed about how he was crying, etc). Scott looked upset a bit.
The trainers were hugging everyone and popping for the rib. Jonah said he thinks this helped him out a bit to make the trainers know that he can act. I think Ivory's earlier comment about Jonah not being ready to perform in front of a crowd has to be re-examined.
Big John said Jonah's rib was one of the most creative ribs he had ever seen and it was masterful. Eric said that as soon as he stood up and said it was a rib, he was thinking it is coming to him (I suppose now they'll attempt to rib him back). Matt and Jonah embraced again (it seems they are going to be closer now and will probably help each other out a lot). Jonah said it was a good rib, tasteless, but it was a good rib.
John told them the cut would be in the morning.
BACK AT THE HOUSE
They were all sitting around discussing the rib. Scott said it would be boring with out Jonah around. Eric said the rib helped them all become closer. Kelly & Scott both felt they were next to be cut.
Kelly said Scott should be cut because of his in ring performance and he could end up hurting someone.
THE MEETING BETWEEN TRAINERS
Matt showed his heart. Eric has a good look. Jamie has the desire and a marketable look. John is the most technically sound they have. Jonah had a little scare with his head injury but he seems to be okay. Justin has not proven to Al beyond his technique that he is someone he wants to pay to watch. Scott is a good kid and has a lot of heart but he might not have the size. Kelly is on shaky ground but Al is not sure if that is because of her back injury or not.
TICKETS FOR 7
Al handed them tickets and the one that did not get a ticket was the one that was cut. Al went down the list and it came down to Kelly & Scott. Kelly got the ticket and Scott was out.
COMMENTS
It was a good show this week. Jonah could have made that injury angle work on WWE Television. It was even better then the promo Maven cut a few years back which won Maven the contest. I think Jonah should be one of the finalists based on the acting ability alone in the rib. He has the size and a good enough look to make it.
Jonah said no one expected Scott to get cut and he was sad to see him go and this was coming from a guy who didn't like him the first time he met him. Matt said they all liked Scott and from the time he was there he really came a long way. Al told Scott to keep going and to not allow this to slow him down. Snow looked really upset he had to say goodbye to Scott.
NOTES
What really came across in this show was two things. Jonah & Matt are both the type of people WWE looks for. Both really cared about their fellow peers. Both showed it. Both were upset when they thought one their own was injured or being cut. And that is something WWE wants to see so when talent is on the road, they can depend on each other to carry them through the rough spots. Some of the others did not seem to care as much as Jonah & Matt. This competition right now is going to be tough to call.
Jonah, Matt and John all deserve to get the contracts. But there can only be two winners (of course the others can always sign with the company down the road).
