THE START OF A NEW SEASON

Tough Enough 3 began with Al Snow talking about how viewers of Tough Enough think they can become WWE stars easily. He told us they auditioned a lot of contestants and put them through a vigorous work out program to pick the top 75 top finalists.

Big John explained us the first 2 editions had a huge casting special with a huge extravaganza but this year they had three regional casting venues in Chicago, Denver and New Orleans. We saw the potential TE3 contestants answering questions. This led to some really strange moments with one of the female contestant hopefuls deep throating a banana (don't have any clue as to why she thought this proved she had what it took to be in WWE, well, then again maybe she thinks the way to get to WWE as a Diva is to have that type of ability).

THE SURPRISE VISIT

Tazz, Big John, Al Snow & Ivory went to some of the qualifying contestants homes to tell them they were going to California. We see them going to various homes and informing the contestants they were headed to TE3.

We got some comments from the hopefuls at their homes. John, who had tried out for TE2 said he knew this was a competition and he wasn't going to forget it.

Wendell said he would cake walk through the competition, since he was obviously the best athlete in it. Scott said he was so excited he could not go to sleep the previous night because this was the start of his new life. Jill said inside she wanted to die because this competition is her time to shine.

Big John told them all as they went in to Traxx to sit down and be quiet.

Jonah said they were all trying to figure out what the first day would be like, maybe like something like last year with them running with back packs on or something.

FIRST DAY AT TRAXX CALIFORNIA

Al Snow, Ivory, Bill DeMott were in the middle of a ring behind the giant warehouse doors as they opened. All of the contestants went in and sat down in folding chairs.

Matt said he knew behind the door there was a little surprise. James said this was the most amazing thing he had ever seen with how they had the banners set up and all.

We get graphics of the TE3 trainers at this point.

Voula said at that point it kicked in that this wasn't going to be easy. Justin said it was time to go.

Big John told them there would be WWE judges evaluating them at all times. Bill DeMott told them the ring was his home and none of them have done anything to earn his respect yet. Al Snow told them he would be their best friend at times and their worst enemy at times, and he didn't care how they felt about that. They all told him they had what it took to be a TE3 champion and he is going to find out if they were telling him the truth. At this point we saw Wendell, who was wearing sunglasses and had his fingernails painted black, and Al Snow yelled at him to remove his sunglasses (which he did).

Ivory told them on Monday they would be (trainers) talking to half of the people in the room. Ivory said for them to look around because the person sitting next to them was a loser, and wondered who the winners would be.

Kelly said at that point she realized she meant nothing. And she has to earn everything in this competition.

INTRODUCTIONS

Al told them each of them would stand up and introduce themselves and say a little something about themselves when he pointed to them and then sit down and be quiet. Eric said it would be easy for him to stand up there and tell them he had what it takes, but the best way for him to do it is prove it.

Wendell said he had been in the ring twice before. He thought he was more prepared for this then any of the other contestants.

Al said he wants Wendell to be on TE3 because he feels he has everything that it takes to win the competition.

Rebekah talked about how she lost her apartment and had a bad life (why does this have anything to do with TE3?), Justin said every day if he isn't close to dying then his life isn't worth it (okay), James said he was born to be in this competition and he was ready. He said he would not be broken. DeMott asked if that was a challenge and Justin told him it was a challenge.

RUNNING AROUND

Next we see the contestant hopefuls running. We find out Kelly has asthma and she had to stop various times to use her inhaler. She said her chest got tight and she knew an asthma attack was about to take place. DeMott asked her if she was quitting and she said she wasn't. He told her to shake this thing off and get back out there.

Amy said this was an extreme pressure situation. We then see the contestant hopefuls doing some exercises. We see Wendell doing them wrong. DeMott showed them how to do them correctly at this point.

Al was telling Wendell what ever he did now meant everything. Wendell began to sway back and forth and looked disorientated. Al said from watching everyone doing the exercises he noticed Wendell wasn't doing them to the full extent like the rest. Al said they hopefuls are not even contestants in TE3 yet, and through this they can get to know who really has the passion inside and who really wants it.

We see one of the hopefuls throwing up in a bucket. Everyone looks really worn down and tired. Various competitors are screaming in pain from all of the exercises, etc. Amy said the next thing she knew Wendell was falling all over the place.

We see Wendell roll his eyes in the top of his head and he falls to the mat. Al yells at Wendell to get up immediately and he pounds the mat with his fist. Snow tells him to get up and do the exercises or to get out. Al said he went over to Wendell and he started swaggering around like he was about to pass out. Snow said he has been around a while and wasn't 100% convinced this was legit. Al told Wendell there was nothing physically wrong with him and to stand up. Wendell was still acting as if he was about to pass out. Chad said it is great to see people exhausted when they are your competition because it makes you drive yourself that much harder.

Al told Wendell to go sit down. Wendell collapsed to the mat and Snow told him to get up and go sit down. Al yelled he did not have time for this Bullshit. Al told the medic Dan to take a look at Wendell even though he didn't think it was really needed. Julia said Wendell needs to suck it up. Al told Wendell if he can not make it through this part he isn't going to make it. They take Wendell to the back room and examine him. Absolutely nothing is wrong with him.

Wendell told them he gets like this all the time and not to doubt him. He told Al he wanted this more then anybody wanted it. Al told him not to waste his time and Wendell said he wasn't wasting his time.

Ivory asked it anyone wanted to quit and no one did. DeMott wanted to know if there was anymore drama. Nope.

Rob said the trainers are very tough. Al showed them how to do the front bump (wow, already on day one).

FRONT BUMPS

All of them do the front bump and seem to being doing it okay. Al also showed them the proper way to get up from the mat.

MORE WENDELL

Wendell told us again he had been in the ring two or three times and he was going to beat all of the competition. The doctor told us there was nothing wrong with Wendell. Al told Wendell not to talk to him. Al told us Wendell did a poor acting job. Al told Wendell to get up and he better shape up or he is out of the door. Al told Wendell who he is and what he is, is based on the decisions he makes. Al told him if he does something like that again he will personally throw him out of the building and nobody will stop him.

BREAK TIME

Some of the contestant hopefuls were talking with each other. Wendell told us Al told him to come back or leave.. Wendell said it did not have much of a mental effect on him because he knew he could be a better wrestler then anyone.

100 JUMPING JACKS & 100 HILL CLIMBERS + SQUATS

We see them all doing this exercise. Some are struggling at the end as expected. Wendell was the exception as he was doing what he did before and Snow told him he obviously did not want it. For the second time Wendell collapsed. Snow told Wendell to stand up. Gregory said most people who had respect for this (meant competition but could also mean the business) would have never done that. Al told Wendell what he does tells him more then what he says. Al said this meant nothing to Wendell and Wendell did not agree with him. Al got in to Wendell's face because Wendell had the energy to talk back and was okay but did not have the energy to do the exercises. Wendell said it was not in his body right now. Al told Wendell to go home. Wendell asked him to wait but it was all over. Wendell was cut. Al told Wendell to go home and grow up and make decisions in his life and not to waste anyone else time. Al said he saw potential in Wendell to win the contest.

CLOSING DAY

John said it was an interesting day and dismissed them and told them they would be back in the morning. We see them all arriving and being greeted by the trainers.

THE JUDGES

Jim Ross & Kevin Dunn were on hand and the contestants were told they were judges for this competition. Ross was introduced as the Senior Vice President of Talent Relations. Kevin Dunn was of course introduced as the Executive Producer of WWE.

Ross told them to get over the fear of the mat and impact on the mat so they could make it. He told them with out that, they would stand no chance. Ross said if they don't make it, it won't be because Al Snow didn't like them, it will be because they couldn't do it. They showed highlights (lowlights) of Wendell at this point.

HILLCLIMBERS 250

The hopefuls did 250 hillclimbers. After this they went in to the ring and did front bumps. Voula landed on her head during the front bumps and looked to be injured. She was okay and went back to doing the exercise. Eventually she did it right after a few tries. Sarah was having problems with the front bump quite a bit and DeMott told her she was in danger of being sent home for something she did easily the day before.

BACK BUMPS

Al taught them how to properly do a back bump. The only problem was Nick kept getting up wrong. So Al made him get up 50 times and say he was getting up wrong each time (he had to do the bump as well).

James ran and jumped a few times, Al quickly corrected him.

CUT DAY

Al revealed at the end of the day they would make another cut. We see them doing more exercises. Sara was cut told she was cut by Al Snow.

CHALLENGE FOR THE THIRD DAY

Big John told them they would have a challenge for the third day. The hopefuls were given GT Mountain Bikes. Scott did not know how to ride a bike. They emphasized it was about finishing the race and not about who won. The mountain road seemed to be endless uphill the entire way.

All of them finished the race, even Scott despite not knowing how to ride a bike.

After the bike ride there was a RUN downhill. Again it was about who finished and not who won. All of them finished this as well and the trainers told them it would make it hard to narrow it down to 25.
